Trips & Excursions

Linking learning to the real world — locally, nationally, and globally.

Beyond Campus

Trips and adventures, every year.

Trips and adventures are an essential facet of the WISS experience. From PN through Grade 12, our students take part in trips locally, nationally, and internationally. Each trip is purposefully designed to link classroom learning to the real world.

Whether it's a Lower Elementary visit to Shanghai's Natural History Museum or a Secondary expedition to Yunnan, our students leave each trip with a richer understanding of the world and a deeper bond with their peers.

A signature week in China.

Each year, Secondary students embark on the Explore China Trip — a week-long journey that links the IB curriculum to the country and culture our students live in.

Beijing

China's capital — history, culture, and landmark architecture.

Yunnan

Mountain landscapes, ethnic diversity, and ecological learning.

Inner Mongolia

Grassland adventure, nomadic culture, and outdoor leadership.

Sichuan

Cuisine, history, and conservation — including the famous panda reserves.

Anhui

Classical Chinese landscapes — mountains, ancient villages, and reflection.

Chengdu

Cultural deep-dive in southwest China.

Curious where our students go?
