A Ticket Around the World: Grade 1–3 Musical

From the very first “boarding call,” our audience was taken across continents — Mexico, Nigeria, Ireland, Korea, and China — experiencing the rich diversity of music, language, and culture through the eyes (and talents) of our students.

What made this event unforgettable wasn’t just where we went but how we got there.

Student Voice at the Center

This was a performance shaped by students, not just for them.

·       Students collaboratively choreographed their own dance movements, bringing originality and ownership to every beat.

·       They designed their own posters, turning the school into a vibrant preview of the journey ahead.

·       Wherever possible, students were given a choice in how they performed, allowing confidence and individuality to shine through on stage.

You could feel it. It was real and joyful expression.

A Global Story, Told Through Music

Each performance added a new layer to the journey:

·       A warm multilingual welcome from our youngest learners

·       High-energy movement and rhythm from Mexico and Nigeria

·       Fast-paced storytelling from Ireland

·       The electric joy of K-pop from Korea

·       A powerful, grounded finale with Chinese drums and flag dance

And in the end, one shared message echoed across every performance:

Music connects us all.

What stayed with us was the courage, the laughter, the teamwork, and the pride.

Moments like these are where confidence grows, friendships deepen, and learning becomes meaningful.

It was a celebration of who our students are becoming.
