Our community service initiatives invite students to step outside the classroom and engage directly with the world around them. By volunteering, helping neighbours, and championing local causes, students develop deep empathy and a strong sense of civic responsibility.

Bloodline Y
Every drop of blood connects us to someone in need. In partnership with international schools across Shanghai, WISS is proud to nurture a culture of active compassion, showing students that they have the power to help and protect the world around them.
Saturday School
Every Saturday, our students serve as mentors, running an interactive language programme to help local children learn English through fun games and creative activities. Real learning happens when we lift each other up, turning a Saturday morning into a lifelong lesson in connection.
Heart 2 Heart
Fundraising for a second chance at life. True leadership means taking action for those who need it most — and students are never too young to make a meaningful difference by turning empathy into immediate, life-changing action.
Rotary Interact Club
Rotary Interact is a worldwide service programme for young people aged 12 to 18. It is a student-led group that serves the local community and promotes global peace and international understanding. WISS Rotary Interact members have served local and international communities in Shanghai.
Action Cubs
Action Cubs is where young students engage in real-world impact projects. Students lead classroom and playground improvement projects, including initiatives that explore how plants support student well-being.
